Lynn William Groves Jr. Obituary (1959 - 2015)

Lynn William Groves, Jr passed away February 22, 2015 in Layton, UT. He was born in Salt Lake City, UT November 21, 1959 to Lynn W. and Mary Lou Robinett Groves. He married Jeanette Van Hoff and they raised 3 children together. They later divorced.He lived in many locations growing up with his family as they followed their Dad during his Air force Career including many years in Layton and Fruit Heights, UT. He attended Davis High School and DATC.Lynn was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He loved to go fishing, biking, skiing and collecting hats, baseball cards and tools. He was a very straight forward person and always spoke his mind but could prank and joke around with the best of them. He was always trying to make people laugh with his great sense of humor.Lynn is survived by his Children: Coty Lynn, Jeremy Taylor and Tiffany Sarah Groves; Parents Lynn Sr. and Mary Lou Groves; Siblings: Debra L. Ross, Terry L. Stallworth and Kent H. Groves; 2 grandchildren Taetyn William and Derryt Hunter Knox. He is also survived by nieces and nephews Shannon, Paige, Alliyah, Angie, Christa, Ashley, Amelia, Sarah, Josh and Jordan. He was preceded in death by one niece Amber.Funeral Services will be held Monday, March 2, 2015 12:00 Noon at the Fruit Heights 6th Ward Chapel, 77 South Orchard Dr. (1325 East) FRUIT HEIGHTS, UT. Viewings will be held Sunday, Mach 1, 2015 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Affordable Funeral and Cremation Solutions, 3800 South Washington Blvd., Ogden, UT and at the church Monday from 10:30 – 11:30 a.m. prior to the services. Private interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park in Ogden, UT
